Mar 15 2022, Thing made from a gift pack

I'm on a Facebook group that is focused on using the scraps of paper that we have in our stashes. Part of this list is a pay-it-forward type activity. Today, I received a stuffed envelope from another of the list members. I was inspired to make things from her gift today. Her stuff was gorgeous and here is what I have made so far:

Four cards and a 3x4 notebook

Four more cards

And 3 more cards

3 more little notebooks

And once again, I present a few more of the backlog of my art index cards.  I'm working on other things, too, and they will appear as I have time.

March 12 2022 Some "Glue Book" Pages

What is a glue book?  Well, for me, it is a page in a junk mail catalog that I fill with other images in a large (about 8x10 inches) collage .  These pages are meant to be cut apart and subsequently used in creating ephemera for junk journals.  Tags, pockets, journaling cards, belly bands and so forth.  Sometimes, I can't bring myself to cut them after they are complete, so I scan, then print, then use that copy, leaving the original intact.  I'm that way.  They often are inspired by the art from Monty Python -- scale varies greatly, subjects are offbeat and sometimes just plain odd.  I haven't found a giant hedgehog yet, but I'm looking!  Here are a few I've made; I'll post more as time goes on.

March 7 2022 Some Atypical/Fun Items

For today, I'll start off with a few fun/funky things I've made.  These first items are not my "usual" style.  A friend gave me a Ripley's Believe It Or Not book and challenged me to make cards or junk journal pages from it.  So, I started with cards and envelopes first, they are the easiest.  Here are the first three cards:

This is a 10-story hotel in China called the Tianzi (Sons of Heaven).  Left to right, they are Shou (Longevity), Fu (Fortune), and Lu (Happiness).  Shou is holding a peach in his left hand, which is actually the Presidential Suite of the Hotel.

This one is a collage of many of the leftover bits from making the other two cards and the envelopes below.

7 policy-style envelopes that go with the cards.

Mar 6 2022, A bundle of Winter and Spring Cards

For the last couple of days, I've been exceedingly busy.  But I needed to make some cards and spent a few hours making these from some gorgeous papers I had on my desk.  Some of my cards are for sale  on my ETSY shop "Bertseesabox" and others are destined to be included with purchase from that or my other two ETSY shops "Bertseesathread" and "Bertseesabead."
