It's hard to belive that so much time has passed since my last post.  I cannot even remember all the items created during that time.  It just flew by, and I was inundated with work.  To catch up, please check my You Tube channel (Vickie Tobin) to see all the myriad items -- journals, folios, cards, and so forth.  Here is one to get you started:  My February 2026 ATC group.  I am participating in a year-long challenge to create an ATC every day for a year.  365 of them.  Sounds daunting, but really, I'm enjoying the creation and love to do some little piece of art every day.  I did dedicate myself to Art-Every-Day years ago and have been following that ever since.

Desperation 1 and 2

Once again, I have become inundated with scrap papers (that I refuse to throw away), so I have to use them or drown in paper scraps. These little journals, aptly called Desperation 1 and 2, are another attempt to seriously work on getting rid of those bits and bobs. I hope you enjoy the results.

Day 1, #MixedMediaMarch25, Ode to Pepperell

 This is the first of 31 pages for a challenge to create something each day during March, 2025.  The rules are pretty simple: use some element of gel press printing and identify each day with a number corresponding to the day of the month when it was created.  I have decided to create a concertina-style journal of photographs focusing on Pepperell, MA, where I lived for more than 35 years.  Here is a still of my first page.  There are several flip-up pages, each with a photograph, for a total of five photos on the page.     A video of this first page is available on You Tube.  

 My guests are sleeping in this morning, so I'm spending some time in the studio.  I needed more tickets for my ephemera stash, so I put together these 32.  

Unloved 12x12 paper Now Lovely

 

I had an unused sheet of 12x12 double-sided paper; one side was something I'd never use, the other floral side was more busy than I wanted. So...I made these seven paper clip pockets. The paper clip does show on the back. Then I made little tags to go in the pockets from a couple of large tags that I'd used to mop up extra watercolor paint, added a faux bird stamp, a tiny bead dangle to the tip of the paper clip and done. It was fun and took very little time.   And the scraps?  Only a single 2x2 piece.  A win!

#GelyPostcardPlay, Day 31

 Day 31 of the challenge. The last entry is fittingly a return to a winter scene. Background is a gel print, with added stamping and shading. This challenge has been great fun and I'd like to thank Griffiths for hosting this challenge. Doing so much gel printing has truly been a challenge for me, and I am learning so much from it. Tomorrow, I'll post a little video on my channel to recap all 31 of my challenge cards. #GelyPostcardPlay
