New Video: Rotary Cards, Part 1

I've posted a new video to my YouTube channel.  It showcases the first group of my on-going creation of rolodex-style rotary cards.  I make these cards from scraps of paper and other bits and bobs.  Enjoy.

New Life for Unwanted Paper: Masterboards

As usual, the battle of scraps continues. This is a 12 x 12 inch masterboard I made today. And the scraps are still piled high. This will be cut into smaller pieces such as tags and journal cards. The base is a 12x12 piece of paper that I got in a paper pad, and it was not something I would otherwise use. I then covered it with book page and layered embellishments atop that. Rotating the page insures that there will be no "right side up issues" when it is cut.

GelyPostcardPlay, Day 1

I've jumped right into the fray and have decided to enter the challenge hosted by Ceri Griffiths (Ceri the Crafter) on You Tube.  The challenge, #GelyPostcardPlay ,  is to create a postcard each day during the month of July 2024.   Each postcard must be 4x6 inches in size and contain elements from Gel Printing and be numbered to match the day of the month.  I've finished the first one and here is my July 1, 2024 card:

I've uploaded Parts 2, 3 and 5 of the 3x5 Index Cart Art series.

I've uploaded a video: Pillbox2

I've uploaded a YouTube video called Pillbox2 to my YouTube channel.  It is about 17 minutes long and is a flip through of a recent junk journal.  There is a musical background, but no speech.  Here's the link:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=asO6zw-oj2o&t=12s

...and a picture of the cover.

Paper Clips Gone WIld!

I've been having fun creating paper clip ephemera.  Some of them are paper clip slips, inspired by Tracie Fox; others are paper clips with tassels that also serve as bookmarks (but ones that don't fall out!).  Here are some photos:

Finally Finished: For Michelle

I've been working on this little journal for ages.  I think it might be nearly 4 years, now.  It will be mailed to my friend Michelle, a fellow junk journal enthusiast.  It is actually on its way across the vast countryside, hopefully to arrive soon.  I've called it "Once Upon A Time" and it has a somewhat magical theme - fairies, kings, mushrooms, birds and so forth.  I'm enclosing images of the covers and insides, as well as taking out the ephemera and showing that for each of the pages.  It was a lot of fun to make.

Awesome Assemblage Little Layer Tags

"Awesome Assemblage Little Layer Tags" a digital kit by Tracey Fox are the basis for these cute little tags.  I added some of my own things - brads, some paper, eyelets, ribbons, lace, etc. to personalize them.  Her kits are top notch!  There is a ton of material left for more tags.  I'm looking forward to more adventures with this kit.

Cleaning Up My Worktable

Periodically, my worktable gets *covered* with bits and pieces.  That means I need to spend a bit of time cleaning (blah!).  Sometimes I can put that cleaning to good use.  Today, I made a bunch of snippets from the labels laying around.  These have already been cut in half and will be cut again as I use them.

The rest of the "Glue Book" greeting cards

Here are the rest of the greeting cards I made from scanned, previously created glue book pages.
